Splitting the Sky (aka John Boncore) is the man who attempted to arrest former President and credibly accused war criminal George W. Bush in Calgary on March 17th, 2009. STS was arrested by police and charged with "obstruction" and was on trial for this on March 8th and 9th, 2010. He pleaded not guilty, invoking a defence of "civil resistance". Former Congresswoman and Presidential Candidate Cynthia McKinney came to Calgary to support STS and to present evidence in court on his behalf. The trial was to have taken 5 days, however, the judge closed down the proceedings after just 2 days and did not wish to hear from Ms. McKinney and several other defence witnesses. The case is now adjourned until June 7th, 2010 at which time the judge will bring in his verdict.
In this 2 hour meeting which took place in the evening of March 9th at the University of Calgary, you will hear Prof. Tony Hall, Cynthia McKinney and Splitting the Sky discussing what he did and why, as well as Q&A with the audience. This is unedited footage.
NOTE: there is some overlap every 10 minutes (repeats a few seconds) as I spliced the 14 segments from YouTube into one file. Didn't realize that before uploading. We will edit it and re-upload a clean copy in the next day or two. Otherwise, I hope you enjoy it, find it useful and will share it.
